"I was enthralled with M/s D. Richardson's first novel "Flashpoint". The plot unreels rapidly, hooks the reader and keeps the tension taut until the last page. This relatively new author followed "Flashpoint" with her second novel "Don't Believe Everything You See". Once again, I was not disappointed. It was intelligent, fast paced and was impossible to put down. I am certain that there will be a sequel to her last novel and I am impatient for an opportunity to read it. The in-depth research that this author carries out ensures that her stories are exciting and make for pleasurable reading. I have no reservations in asserting that, in my opinion, M/s Richardson's debut into the North American society of writers is a true blessing."Malvern A. Martindale

"Debra Richardson weaves a suspense with surprising, but believable twists that left me on the edge of my seat. Her intricate knowledge ... whether inside the fire department or a funeral home, leaves no doubt she does much more then skim the surface of her stories. Debra is a top-knotch writer and I would recommend her books to anyone who wants a good, entertaining read. I am waiting with anticipation for her next novel."Mary M Forbes

"Each chapter of Flashpoint kept my interest so much that I didn't want to put it down - I knew there had to be another twist in the story within the next few pages. The last few entries in the final chapter tied everything together in a most unusual way. The read was enjoyable and I'm anxious to read more from Ms Richardson."Steve Yager

"When a new author hits the mystery scene it is great news! Never more so than Debra Richardson and her first novel Flashpoint. Her firehouse family becomes your friends; you feel their pain, anger and loss as firefighters perish; one after another, in deliberately set traps. Follow the arsonist's mad trail as Debra carves a journey brilliantly conceived, expertly planned and executed fires. Nobody escapes the truth, not forever, but maybe this once; the ending shocks. I can't wait for the sequel. Debra's second novel Don't Believe Everything You See is next on my summer must-read list"Diane Karlson

"The pace of Flashpoint matches the title. It quickly draws you in with well defined characters and action that leaves you breathless, with a twist at the end that is not expected. I didn't know if I would enjoy reading this novel as it is not what I would usually read, but I am very happy I did ... and I can't wait for the sequel.
This book has been very well researched and for British Columbia, very timely in talking about fires and arsonists as we have certainly experienced both in this past year. I would highly recommend this book to those who enjoy mysteries and thrillers. Way to go D.A. Richardson!
Don't Believe Everything You See is another well written novel with a slower, more character oriented theme. Having traveled to various Caribbean destinations, I was intrigued by the setting and felt, through the author's descriptions, that I had actually traveled to Mexico. Although vexed by the ending, I look forward to the sequel as I have my own ideas of how things should turn out. This is what D.A. Richardson manages to do ... she makes you care about the characters, makes you want to solve the mystery, twists and turns she provides and then leaves you wanting for more. Again, for those of you who enjoy mysteries/thrillers ... with a bit of romance thrown in, I would highly recommend this bookok."
